Deleting your account and data

In the app (immediate)

1. Open Settings — the last tab along the bottom.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account on iPhone, or Delete my account on Android.
3. Confirm when asked. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

Your profile — name, email address, home city and your profile photo — along with your votes, your ratings, your expense shares, your device's push tokens, your consents, and any location you shared.

What stays, and why

Plans you proposed stay with the group: they are the group's shared history, and everyone else's record of what they did should not vanish with your account. The same is true of a receipt you photographed and of a group banner you set — they belong to the group's plans, not to your profile. What stays is no longer attached to your profile, so the app shows it without a name against it; a notification already sent to someone's phone, and anything a person typed about a plan, is theirs and stays as written.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, email info@cldhb.com.au from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We action requests within 30 days and confirm when it's done.
